Hi there! I’m Siân, an experience designer from Glastonbury, the home of the largest greenfield music festival in the world. I graduated in graphic design (BA (Hons)) at Nottingham Trent University and more recently, Digital Experience Design (MA) at Hyper Island, Manchester. I’ve worked as a designer in those fields since 2010. After working in both agencies and businesses across the UK, I am currently interning as a Product Designer at Spotify, London.
I’ve worked across both print and digital throughout my career and the master’s course has enabled me to change my focus to the user experience side of design, where I use design thinking, human-centred design and agile methodologies to come up with solutions to address the needs of the people I’m designing for. My role as Product Designer sees me overlooking the end-to-end user journey for users looking to sign up to a Spotify Plan.
I am highly inquisitive about everything and my curiosity means I have an unrelenting thirst to explore. By working alongside talented and creative people, I gain inspiration and knowledge, which allows me to learn and grow as a designer. I love the thrill of the chase of keeping up with a constantly evolving industry and enjoy the new challenges it brings. When I'm not making ace user experiences, I like to turn my hands to other design disciplines. I’m passionate about arts and crafts and I build my own jewellery as a hobby in my spare time.
